Mockumentary Editing Progress: Adding a name plate

I've decided to add a name plate to the first interview sequence, this will allow the audience to be aware of who the protagonist is.

I used Photoshop to create a partially transparent box and include the name and occupation of the character.

The name plate has been placed into Premiere.

I decided to move it into the bottom left of the screen and added an additive dissolve when the name plate will fade in and out. I won't keep it on screen for the entire interview sequence as other  mockumentaries I have researched only have the name plate on screen for a short duration.

Mockumentary Editing Process: Adding a Hashtag

One of the things I found when researching into mockumentaries is that almost all of them from recent times have has a hashtag (#) to allow people on Twitter talk to each other about the program they're watching. I decided to include a hashtag in my mockumentary as this will allow my audience to talk about the program whilst watching it. It is also a great way for me to get feedback about my work.

I did this in Premiere by using the Title tool to create a some text which would go on top of my video.

This is the kind of posts I could get if I used a #.

Twitter users are able to see what others are saying about #TheSupply. If #TheSupply was trending on Twitter this can grow my audience immensely.

The Supply Mockumentary Poster

This is my poster so far, I'm very satisfied with the way it looks. I will conduct a questionnaire to see what my target audience thinks of this poster.
